Evan Williams, cofounder of Blogger and Twitter said,
“We often think the Internet enables you to do new things … But people just want to do the same things they’ve always done.”
There is a lot of truth in that.
It's a truth that is crucial to remember in business.
All that has changed with the internet and modern technology are the tools that we have available to us.
The common needs of humans are timeless and universal - the only difference is that people have more ways to fulfil those desires and needs.
The principles of marketing, selling and running a business are the same as they’ve always been.
As they always will be.
Want to get good at attracting more clients? Start by getting to know the people you want to sell to better...
Sure, it takes a bit of effort.
However, it is an investment in your time and effort that will repay itself many times over.
Sadly, it's an effort many shy away from because it's boring, or hard work.
Let's reframe this:
What could be more exciting, more fun, or more interesting, than getting to know and understand the very people that you want to serve?
The very people that you want to exchange value with...
The people who pay you to do what you love?
As the better you know and understand those people, the easier it is to attract more of them who WANT to pay you to do what you love and enjoy...
Does that make that relatively small investment of your time and effort seem more worthwhile?
That's why on today's group coaching call we're going back to basics and talking about ideal clients.
Because it's one of the best investments you can make in your business.
Until next time
